Mango Lassi

Mango Lassi

Mango lassi is the perfect accompaniment to anything that is cooked on the grill. Traditionally, it is just made with fruit, ice and a little yogurt, and maybe, some mint. 

Simon Majumdar's Mango Lassi

Mango Lassi Recipe

(Serves 1)


  • 1/2 cup pureed or frozen mango

  • 1 oz whole milk yoghurt

  • 1 oz milk or coconut milk

  • 1 tsp simple syrup or 1 tsp sugar (leave out if mango is very ripe & sweet)

  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

  • Mint (for garnish)

  • Grated nutmeg (for garnish)


  1. Put pureed or fozen mango, yoghurt, milk (or coconut milk), simple syrup or sugar (optional if mango is very sweet) and ice in a blender.

  2. Blend until smooth.

  3. Transfer to a glass and garnish with a leaf of mint and grated nutmeg.
